Asa guided me carefully until I passed the road test. As a mature driver, sometimes learning goes a little slower than at age 17… still Asa had all the patience required, and repeatedly pointed out all my mistakes, and corrected them, until I passed. Asa was a very patient and amazing driving instructor due to his ability to communicate transparently and clearly. He has a bit of an middle-eastern accent, but despite this he was still able to communicate clearly and concsisely in regards to driving safely and effectively. UPDATE: Another first-try pass on my way to my full license. Prior to my N, I had taken lessons with Asa (passed first try), and have recently passed my class 5 exam, also first try. I took two lessons with for this road test, one a few days prior, and one, one hour right before. He taught me very well to fix some minor mistakes and bad habits I had built over the span of my N license, and showed me some common routes examiners tend to take. I appreciated how methodical he was in explaining everything, was very clear in his instructions, and was accommodating to my schedule. The best part was coming away with not only my full license, but feeling like a confident, safe and smooth driver on the roads. I highly recommend Asa to anyone looking to take an ICBC test, as he will help you pass without an issue. Thank you Asa for all your help!

Asa thoroughly goes through not just what’s in the road tests, but also driving with smoothness, safety and control. He teaches a methodical set of steps for each maneuver (like parallel parking) and mistake-correction that makes them quite straightforward. He also helped me get familiar with the common areas/routes for the road test. As an adult student I have had a learner’s for years but was always too nervous/scared to drive on a real street. Asa helped push me to drive on a real street for the first time. I took a total of 16 lessons and coupled them with practice sessions with my husband. You can also use the instructor’s car for your road test for an extra fee, which I did. For those who like music while they drive, Asa has a nice classical collection and classic rock collection. My personal favorites were the Scheherazade and Dvorak’s Slavonic Dances and New World Symphony. Thank you Asa for helping me pass my class 7 road test on the first try!
